For the third year in a row the Mini Truckin' Nationals, not to be confused with the NOPI South-Eastern Mini Truckin' Nationals, has been a hit. There were 300+ vehicles in attendance and other than a little rain on Saturday, the weather was very good. ESM was present, of course, for media coverage and we managed to let the shutter release on 200+ vehicles in attendance. Everything from compact euros to full size trucks were available to see, BUT... the real action happens at night time. When the street lights come on and the sun takes its final dip in the horizon, crusin' the strip is a local favorite, that is... unless you happen to wear a badge and a gun! This year Pigeon Forge's finest were about the same as usual, but for the most part if you weren't goofing around in your ride such has squealing your tires or playing your radio too loud, or if you are a lucky one to have a military plate (like myself), the cops pretty much left you alone. Anyway, there were many awards given out, such as cash award envelopes, along with plenty of good lookin' trophies. If you couldn't make it this year, be sure to check it out next year! Until then...
