The Bowen Campbell Auto Expo, sponsored by the Goodlettsville Parks & Recreation Department, is one of my favorite local shows to attend. The proceeds from this show all go to the Bowen Campbell Plantation House and admission is FREE to spectators. Though this show runs slim on contemporary autos, it does have a lot of older autos with contemporary custom styling. This show had over 300+ vehicles in attendance and is no doubt the largest and oldest auto show (2003 was its 19th year) currently held in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. The day I covered this show was a hot day, but not nearly as hot as it was in 2002. There were club participation games (mainly trivia), an auto corral, a swap meet, various auto parts vendors, and plenty to drink and eat! So, if you are in the area during the last week of August, be sure to check out the Bowen Campbell Auto Expo!
