Electronics are some of the most important items in our lives, be it computers, phones, clocks, TVs, the list goes on and on. Some people pay thousands for big screen TVs; measuring in enormous sizes, as well as state of the art theater surround systems for that perfect room. The lists are endless for houses, but it doesn't stop there! Almost every custom auto enthusiast will install as much electronic toys into their ride as seemingly possible! For starters, flip-face stereos can kick off what could be one hell of a mobile entertainment system. With the stylish designs that are available today, there is a little something for everyone.
Now, lets say you want to test your eardrums on a set of 10-15" or bigger subwoofers. Most features on ESM and other magazines, the owners install their subs into custom made enclosures either mounted behind the seats or right in front of you in the dash. Some enclosures are in a word "sick" or "insane". Custom auto enthusiasts' imaginations run crazy when it comes to mounting custom speakers. Some custom auto owners will install several subs into one cool enclosure, where the subs are pointing in different directions from each other or on movable mounts where you just press a button and they hide from site. I once saw in an issue of Truckin' magazine, where a custom auto enthusiast installed amps and subs right into a movable box that rose up and down with a button. Now, that is sick!
If stereos aren't enough for you, how about custom neon lighting! Custom auto enthusiasts can easily go insane with color, by matching the exterior of your vehicle with it or adding color simply to brighten up a dark place in their ride. Neon lighting can be placed almost anywhere and in any type of configuration, you name it and you can almost bet that it can be accomplished.
So, you still want more? How about a flip down or flip up TV? You can install those anywhere, in the head rests for your passengers or for yourself on the sun visor. LCD TV monitors come in all types of sizes and qualities for the enjoyment on a long trip or for the show in order to grab a little attention. Now, hook up a PS2, XBOX, or both and you are really in business! With your ride loaded with electronics, the ideas and the pieces themselves are endless and the sky is the limit.
