Fast Eddy has returned! Fast Eddy has become a regular feature here at Elite Streets Magazine and we don't mind it one bit. As long as he is putting lead and ink to paper, we will run his killer renderings. Not only that, Ed is one hell of a nice guy to talk to, so we will always have to give him a ring every now and then just to see what he has been getting himself into.

After a recent phone call, Ed sent us more of his custom auto renderings and we caught ourselves gawking at his fine art work as usual. We have come to really appreciate Ed's talents and his ability to pen his ideas onto paper. We feel it is necessary to share his talents with our readers, so please read on and maybe some of Ed's renderings will inspire you in your custom auto project.

By the way, Ed is a gun for hire, so if you wish to have your project built on paper before you break the piggy bank and bust a few knuckles, you can contact Ed at: 281.455.2883. To catch a glimpse of more examples of Ed's work, go to www.fehrarules.com. Be sure to tell Ed that ESM sent ya!

Click here to enlarge! The killer red classic pictured here is a 1966 Chevy shortbed that has been completely re-styled. The taillights, grille, and wheels are custom one-offs by Ed. 22 inchers hold up the front, while giant 24 inchers take care of the rear. The body from the front wheelwell forward has been chopped 2 inches at the grille. From the wheelwell rearward, 4 inches has been added to the beltline, making it higher and more defined. The roof has also been completely reshaped based on a 1960 Impala dash and A-pillars, and a 1999 Toyota Tacoma roof skin. Shaved door handles complete the aerodynamic look of this refined classic.

We really like the hood scoop, taillights, color, and the overall "laid back" look of the car. Then again, being a hot rod fan, I am somewhat biased when I see anything that has been given the roadster treatment. Hmmmm... I am thinking Ed just might have found a way for GM to recover from their current junk bond status!

Ed wanted to make sure you import fans have something to drool over as well, so he laid out a cool looking Honda Del Sol which can be mistaken for a Toyota Supra at first glance! Examining things a little closer, we can in fact see this particular car is a Honda Del Sol that has had a major facelift with custom side skirts, custom front bumper, custom rear spoiler, ram air hood scoop, custom interior, and wild custom painted graphics that stretch over the hood into the interior and down the sides. All of the mods, especially the paint, give this car some serious "forward motion."

The idea behind this design was to keep the truck stock... for the most part except for the "6x6." It has a fleetside bed with two sets of step side fenders attached to each side. It has the slide back ragtop and custom wheels. Aside from a winch up front (and the obvious), the body is... well... stock!
Click here to enlarge! Here is a rendering of a customized 1977 Pontiac Trans Am. I have had various conversations with members in the show scene and it is clear what used to be outdated is slowly making its way back into the custom scene, such as the 1970s GM F-bodies. Make all of the "Smokey and the Bandit" jokes you want, but we predict they'll be the next hot thing! They have V-8s, rear-wheel drive, good suspensions, and can be modified to look cool... trust me on this one. Now we just need to find one sporting a mean set of 20s and Air Ride suspension! Who's laughing now?
Click here to enlarge! Finally, we have to mention our personal favorite... the 2002 Dodge Viper! Do we really have to dive into the details of this car? I mean... its a DAMN VIPER! Once again, Ed has not let us down by presenting to us another Detroit icon that has been customized with a trick set of painted flames which reflect the true nature of the car... it's fast... very, very fast! With a V-10 engine who needs a radar detector? You could just simply outrun the coppers... right? Well, maybe not, but you sure as hell will look cool on the evening news, speeding down the interstate with half-a-dozen cops in tow!
