Southern Slam Session 2 returned again this year with a change of venue to Hopkinsville, Kentucky. This show is presented by the Hopkinsville, Kentucky Chapter of the Vaperz Custom Auto Club, so it was ideal for the show to be held in their hometown. Afterall, why not show the custom auto crowd that even a small town like Hopkinsville can get down? As a spin off the town name of "Hopkinsville," for the weekend of this show the attendees called the town "DROP-kinsville." We caught up with one of the show promoters, Jimmy Dossett, and he told us "Vaperz wanted to bring a show back to Hopkinsville and put the town back on the custom auto enthusiast radar. We're gettin' there!"

There were several events that made this show special, but the most exclusive of such events was the Jello wrestling event. This event brought back all kinds of memories of fraternity parties at Western Kentucky University! Other events included the SPL contest, show & shine, and a club tug-o-war. Needless to say everyone that attended had a very good time socializing with friends and other custom auto enthusiasts. If you see the Vaperz Auto Club hosting another event, be sure to mark your calendar for they do a great job!
