The Music City Power Motorsports Expo is one of a 2-part show series that starts in Eastern Tennessee and ends in Middle Tennessee. This was the first time this show opened its doors to not only motorcycles, but custom autos, too. As with most first-time shows (at least for the automotive side), the turn out was small. However, for what the show lacked in quantity it truly made up for in quality. The best part of this show is that spectators really got two shows for the price of one. Once you looked over the custom autos, you could walk upstairs a few hundred feet and let your eyes pour over the hundreds of custom choppers and motorcycles.
This show also had one of the most original awards that ESM has seen at any car show... two custom Epiphone Guitars! One guitar was awarded to the best of show car and another one was awarded to the best of show truck. Each guitar was valued at approximately $1,000. Elite Streets Magazine also awarded an editor's choice award to a custom body dropped 1996 S-10, owned by Jimmy Key, with a cash payout.
For an indoor show on the second weekend in January ESM gives this show two thumbs up! |
