The Music City Halloween Rod Run, held at the Wyndham Garden Hotel, is one of those great shows that have been around for years (30+ years to be exact) and when Elite Streets Magazine was invited to cover it, we jumped at the occasion to let our shutters release on the 250+ street rods, rat rods, and resto rods in attendance.
This little hot rod show is hosted each year by the friendly folks of Shade Tree Street Rods, Inc. of Nashville, Tennessee, and they seem to do a very good job organizing the events that happen over this 2-day show series. No wonder so many quality street rods are in attendance, but more importantly, now we understand why this show has been around for as long as it has been.
This family oriented event included a DJ spinning tunes, from the 1950's all the way to the excessive 1980's, throughout the day and there were plenty of activities for all of those in attendance. There was dancing and a live band available for entertainment in the evening hours. The vendors' area offered several parts dealers, so you could grab a few bargains for your rod or classic muscle car. The weather was perfect, the people were friendly, and the show was perfectly rounded for custom hot rod enthusiasts in general. Until next year... |
