If you have attended Freak Show in the past, you know the name says it all! Our good friends at DropJaw Magazine started the show in 2001 and had a turn out of 360+ rides at its inception. This particular show has a loyal following and is a favorite among the auto show crowd, for it never disappoints-- rain or shine.
Freak Show 7 was no different than previous years other than a change in venue. The Wilson County Fairgrounds in Wilson, North Carolina, is the new home for Freak Show and with 1,700+ rides and 5,000+ spectators coming through the gates in 2006, it was a much needed change indeed!
Some of the events headlining Freak Show 7 included a show-n-shine car show, a wild bikini contest where anything and everything goes, a freestyle burnout contest, club games, and beer pong. Once the events came to a close for the evening, the party moved to the campground, where the Freak Show campers proved why they are some of the most hardcore party animals in the show scene! Adding to the show's overall mix, DropJaw had their own personal DJs (Jonny Blaze & White Meat) that spinned and mixed tunes during the day all the way thru the evening events.
This show is the real deal! DropJaw had on hand a dedicated staff of 40+ during the weekend which ensured everything happened according to schedule and as always everything rolled just like clock work. So, if you are a freak and like to party or maybe you just like to chill out with some friends, this is the show for you! |
