This year, Havoc-East once again returned to Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This is the second year for this show to take to the great outdoors and although the weather was hot, the trucks and the lovely ladies wlaking between all those trucks were even hotter!

Truck owners took over the small college town, that is home to Western Kentucky University, and filled up the hotels to maximum capacity on the weekend of August 2-3, 2008, for the Havoc-East all-truck show. At last year's show, the staff invited a handful of "mini-truck inspired" cars, but this year they decided to stay true to their guns and keep it an all-truck event, so even if there was a car or two around, they were not eligble to compete for any trophies and no exceptions were made.

Sponsored by GM, this year the venue included such events as a show-n-shine, bikini contest that offered a $1,000 payout, railin' (draggin') contest, burnout contest, and live music. One of the coolest things about this particular venue is that it features a dragstrip, so participants could run their trucks down the quarter-mile track all weekend long. In addition to all of those events, Sport Truck Magazine also held its annual Sport Truck Challenge on the paved 1/3-mile oval track.
