It was a good deal, $900 bones and Ron Penwell became the owner of a 1979 Cadillac Coupe de Ville on a hot August day in 2007. That's how it went down. After the original owner relinquished ownership rights, Ron began to work on his Caddy. Being a member of the Freaks of Nature car club, he had to make a point, one that would be evident a year later in Bowling Green, Kentucky, when Ron's ballin' assed Caddy rolled into Havoc--an all truck show. Hey, ESM noticed!

The best thing about this Coupe de Ville, is that it sports shaved door handles and emblems, along with a nice two-tone burgundy over grey paint job which really stands out--even in a sea of mini-trucks with wild paint schemes. Throw in a complete air suspension, a set of 20-inch American Eagle chrome rollers, and this Caddy has real curbside appeal.

The interior of Ron's Coupe de Ville has a refined design, too. Mo' Better Interiors in Louisville, Kentucky, freshened up the cabin with gray leather and burgundy suede with matching gray carpet and suede headliner. With the seating arrangement updated and customized, further fine-tuning is found in the custom Clarion audio system. Ron's audio management relies on an AM/FM stereo receiver with a CD player, 7-inch LCD screen, Panasonic amps, and a cleverly installed array of Rockford Fosgate and MTX speakers.

Life under the hood is all good. Although the engine remains stock, Ron ensures longevity with constant oil checks, so it will effortlessly glide him to the nearest cruisin' spots in his home state of Nevada for many years to come.

Ron is pleased with his Coupe de Ville, the one that ESM can only refer to as "Caddy de Freak."
